Plan Your Baby Moon - Spend as much time planning your postpartum experience as you do your birth.

How many hours per week will you need?

This is varies for each parent, family and situation.

Because hours vary, we suggest:

One visit either in the hospital after delivery or within 2 days after birth to help get breastfeeding effectively off to a good start.
Week 1 – 5 days, 2 hours per day

Week 2 – 3 days, 1 hour per day

Weeks 3 - 6  – 2 days, 1 hour per day
I will work a maximum of 10 hours per week up for up to 3 weeks and up to 2 hours per week after 3 weeks.

Tour

During the introductory interview, a house tour is helpful for the doula to become familiar with your home's layout.  Meeting the doula before the birth, in your own home, helps older siblings get to know the doula a little before the baby's born.  And of course children often enjoy being the leader of the house tour.
