Preparing for Labor and Delivery (Group Class)

This power packed 3 hour class prepares you for one of the most wondrous events in your life. During this class you'll gain information about your choices for your birth experience as well as information about how your body changes during pregnancy, labor, and birth. We pay special attention to relaxation and pain control. Significant others are encouraged to attend.

*Bring a bed pillow and a blanket or towel along with your prenatal folder received from your initial doctor or Midwife visit and wear comfortable clothing.
-The expectant mother should register for this class and note the support person attending. Please register while in your fifth or sixth month of pregnancy to attend during the seventh or eighth month, so you can best retain what you learn.


Preparing for Childbirth (Group Class)
Fee: $60.00
Registration is required.
Location: Varies 

This is a 5 week comprehensive series of classes to prepare you for childbirth and parenting. There will be in-depth discussions that include pre-labor signs, stages of labor, pain management options such as relaxation, birth ball, labor positions, and the role of your support person. We also discuss your life after birth including postpartum care and caring for your newborn during their first few weeks of their life. Significant others are encouraged to attend. 

*Bring 2 pillows and a blanket. You are encouraged to bring a healthy, peanut free snack for you and your support person.
-The expectant mother should register for this class and note the support person attending. Please register while in your fifth or sixth month of pregnancy to attend during the seventh or eighth month, so you can best retain what you learn.


The Basics of Breastfeeding (Group Class)
Fee: $25.00
Registration is required. 
Location: Varies

Our Basics of Breastfeeding class covers the "how to's" of breastfeeding which include positions, milk production, and frequency of feeding. Significant others are encouraged to attend. 
 
*Please bring a doll or stuffed animal to the class.
